SYLVESTINE GBESSAGEE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & DIRECTOR OF SAFEGUARDING
Sylvestine brings over 25 years of direct social work experience working with at-risk and marginalized populations including children, young adults, the elderly, women, and others in need of therapeutic counseling and support. Sylvestine is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Liberia. She holds a BA and a Master's of Social Work, as well as a certificate of training in Gender, Governance, and Transformative leadership from UNESCO. At Hilltop Schools, Sylvestine serves as Executive Director and Director of Safeguarding. As Executive Director, she oversees the everyday operations of Hilltop Schools Inc. As Director of Safeguarding, she is responsible for the management and oversight of psychosocial support, well-being, and safety of More Than Me Academy students, scholarship and alumni students, and survivors.
PRECIOUS TAY BROPLEH, PRINCIPAL MTMA
Precious is a dedicated and passionate educator with over 10 years of experience working as an educator, counselor, social worker, and trainer. With a background in sociology and a certificate in counseling and trauma healing, Precious brings a unique perspective to her leadership role. She is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for her students, ensuring they have the support and resources they need to succeed academically and emotionally. Currently, Precious is pursuing a master’s degree in education, she is constantly seeking to improve her skills and knowledge to better serve her students and community.
She is a strong advocate for educational equity and believes that every child deserves access to a quality education. Precious has worked as a Social Worker and Trainer at the Liberia National Red Cross Society and as a Guidance Counselor at the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS). Through her work at More Than Me Academy, Precious is making a positive impact on the lives of her students and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
THOMAS WILLIAMS, HR GENERALIST
Thomas has over 15 years of work experience as Community Outreach Specialist, NRECA-Int’l., HR-Generalist, WVS Tubman University, Director, Clubs & Activities, WVS Tubman University, Credit Officer, Access Bank-The Micro-Finance Bank-LTD. Thomas earned a BSc. in Economics, pursuing a Master's in Econometrics from the University of Liberia, and Cuttington Graduate Sch., respectively. In his role as HR-Generalist, HSI, Thomas is responsible for recruitment, communicating policies, procedures, laws, standards, and gov’t. regulations to other staff, etc.
ROSELINE MN JOHNSON, SOCIAL WORK LEAD
Roseline NM Johnson is a dedicated and experienced social work professional currently leads the Social Work team at Hilltop Schools since 2021. With a strong background in providing social work services, developing programs to support student well-being, and collaborating with teachers and staff, Roseline has been instrumental in advocating for students and their families within the school and community. Additionally, Roseline is a Field Practicum Instructor and Liaison Officer at AME University, where she supervise and mentor social work students during their field practicum. Roseline holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Liberia and has completed various certifications, including Computer Education and Event Planning.
